[About Laura Chernova, CFP®]
Laura's career in wealth management and passion for empowering women through financial literacy began in 1994 at a growing San Francisco firm. During her 13-year tenure, she helped countless women gain a deeper understanding of their finances and feel more secure about their futures while also being a key contributor to the firm's growth. After experiencing the joy of motherhood, Laura felt an even stronger calling to support women like her who were navigating the unique financial challenges of raising a family.
In 2007, Laura joined a firm that shared her commitment to empowering women and families. Together, they helped clients navigate various financial situations, from market fluctuations to life events like divorce and inheritance.
In 2011, Laura was blessed with her second child, who was born healthy but later became severely disabled due to an adverse event. Raising a non-ambulatory and non-verbal child presents unique challenges, but Laura has embraced them with grace and determination. She has become a passionate advocate for her child and other families facing similar challenges, working tirelessly to ensure they have the necessary resources and support. Laura's journey has instilled a deep sense of compassion and empathy, which she brings to her work as a financial advisor.
Driven by her desire to provide exceptional service and stability to her clients, Laura opened her own firm, Balanced Financial Advisors, in 2024. With her 30 years of experience, she provides her clients with expert financial advice and planning for every season of their lives. She does so under her three core values: competence, clarity, and continuity. She values her long-standing client relationships and is an advisor in all aspects of her clients' lives.
Laura graduated from the University of California, Davis, and holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certification. She is also a dedicated member of the Sausalito Women's Club, where she volunteers her time and expertise to support scholarships and historic preservation efforts.
When Laura isn't helping her clients achieve their financial goals; you can find her enjoying time with her family and friends, exploring the beauty of Sausalito by boat, or cheering on her children at their various activities.
